The truth settles in the back of your throat,

As you stir the pot and see how high it goes,

No reservation,

no need to stop,

Going forward,

not looking back,

Settled,

Unsettled,

not even sure,

 pacing on glass eggshells,

As crystal sands cut the souls…

Reflections of deception,

As they stare into each other’s eyes,

Better lives are a mirror’s lie,

Wanting that which is never there,

Ultimate fulfillment is only in the hereafter,

Craving more after having it all,

Crawling back up after such a great fall,

Learning to live,

Living to learn,

Pacing on glass eggshells,
